2NE1’s Park Bom Sparks Chaos With Post Involving Sandara Park

A handwritten Instagram post alleging a past cover-up quickly disappeared—but not before igniting debate among K-pop fans

Blackjack and other K-pop fans were sent into a spiral this week after Park Bom posted (and later deleted) a handwritten message on Instagram that appeared to accuse fellow Sandara Park of being involved in a past drug controversy.

In the now-removed post, the 2NE1 vocalist revisited the long-discussed 2010 Adderall investigation, claiming she had been used as a scapegoat to hide another issue. In the message, she alleged that a narrative around her medication had been framed to cover up alleged drug use involving Sandara Park.

The post quickly spread across K-pop fan communities before it was deleted.

Park Bom had previously faced scrutiny in 2010 after importing Adderall—an ADHD medication legal in the United States but restricted in South Korea—through international mail. Authorities investigated the case but ultimately suspended prosecution after confirming the medication had been prescribed for medical treatment.

Shortly after the claims began circulating online, Sandara Park responded publicly. In an Instagram Story, she firmly denied the accusation, saying she has “never used drugs” and calling the claims untrue while adding that she wished her bandmate well.

Fans also noticed that the two artists appeared to have unfollowed each other on Instagram, further fueling speculation about tension between the longtime groupmates.

The situation has left the fandom in an uneasy spot. While some fans are calling for clarification from both camps, others have expressed concern for Park Bom’s wellbeing. Reports cited people close to the singer saying she has recently been dealing with health issues and emotional stress.

For now, neither artist has provided additional details beyond their initial statements.

The controversy has also reignited conversation around the pressures faced by K-pop idols long after their peak years, especially for groups like 2NE1 whose legacy remains deeply beloved by fans across generations.
