Heeseung Departs ENHYPEN as Solo Career Beckons

ENHYPEN confirms Heeseung’s exit, the group continues as six members while the K‑pop star preps on going solo.

In a major K‑pop shakeup, Heeseung, one of the most prominent members of global act ENHYPEN, has officially left the group to pursue a solo career, ENHYPEN’s agency BELIFT LAB confirmed Tuesday.

The announcement, shared through the group’s official social platforms, reveals that after extensive discussions about future goals and musical direction, it became clear that Heeseung’s artistic vision was leading him toward independent projects. As a result, the 24‑year‑old artist will still be under the same agency while preparing his debut solo album.

ENHYPEN will continue its activities as a six‑member group, with Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni‑ki carrying on the band’s schedule and promotions.

In a handwritten message posted on fan platform Weverse, Heeseung expressed heartfelt gratitude to ENGENE — the group’s dedicated fandom — and reflected fondly on the six years they shared. He thanked his bandmates for their support and said he’s working hard so they can meet again soon, reassuring fans that his time with ENHYPEN will remain one of his most cherished chapters.

The news has sparked an outpouring of reactions online, with many supporters praising his courage to explore new creative paths while others join petitions and discussions about the group’s future.
