Donny Pangilinan’s ₱3 Gas Cut Initiative Brings Relief

Alongside buzzes over his projects, the actor makes a real-world impact by initiating a ₱3 rollback at his family’s gas station to help.

Donny Pangilinan is currently operating at a different frequency. While the industry is still buzzing over the record-breaking success of Roja wrapping up its explosive finale and the viral teaser for his and Belle Mariano’s May comeback, Tayo sa Wakas, the actor is proving his best work happens when the cameras are off. Case in point: his latest “partner” move at his family’s gasoline station.

In a recent update shared by his father, Anthony Pangilinan, it was revealed that Donny—who serves as a partner in the family business—suggested a price adjustment intended to provide relief to their local community. While the move was noted as not making immediate “numbers sense,” the focus was shifted toward the mission of supporting those who need it most.

“Our partner (yes, my son!) suggested a move that didn’t make sense ‘numbers wise’ but was 100% in sync with our mission: support those who need it most in the community,” Anthony Pangilinan shared.

Netizens and fans of Donny across social media sites have shared their gratitude and praised the initiative of the actor and his family, sharing that the neighboring communities and commuters will greatly benefit from the plan.

Starting March 17, the station implements a P3.00 per liter discount for regular diesel products. This targeted cut is a response to the challenges faced by drivers and workers in the area, with the Pangilinan family committing to sustain the lower prices for as long as they are able. As Anthony noted, the goal is simply to do what they can, while they can.

Whether he’s navigating a complex role on screen or managing the family business, Donny continues to balance high-profile success with intentional, community-driven action, a straightforward example of how a partnership role can lead to real-world benefits for a community.
