Haunted Justice or Deadly Power? Pick Your New K-Drama Fix

Between a lawyer possessed by vengeful spirits and a power couple tearing each other apart, your binge-watch schedule is officially booked.

The K-Drama map continues to stretch at breakneck speed with latest premieres on Viu, proving that the writers are really leaning into the “go big or go home” energy. Two polar opposite worlds featuring the eerie courtrooms of a haunted law practice and the lethal high-rises of Korea’s top one percenters

First on the docket is Phantom Lawyer, which premiered on March 13. The series stars Yoo Yeon-Seok as Sin I Rang, a novice lawyer whose career trajectory hit a wall thanks to a family scandal. It serves beyond a typical judicial action where justice is served with a side of coffee.

Instead of standard evidence, his small practice relies on a supernatural edge: he can be possessed by ghosts with unresolved grudges. Teaming up with Attorney Han Jeong Won (played by Esom), he uncovers truths that are literally buried.

If you prefer your drama grounded in reality but with twice the venom, Climax may be your cup of tea. Streaming since March 16, this series dives into the cutthroat intersection of Korea’s business elite and the entertainment industry.

Climax follows Ju Ji-Hoon and Ha Ji-Won, a fiercely ambitious couple whose relentless climb to the top eventually becomes the middle ground for their chaotic undoing. It is a masterclass in tension as they start tearing each other apart in a race where there is only room for one at the peak.

Whether you want justice with a side of spirits or a deep dive into the destructive nature of ambition, the weekend binge is sorted.
