From SBT Academy trainees to PLUUS alumni and guest acts, the showcase extends beyond performance with support for PEFTOK scholars.
The SBTown Music Fiesta 2026 unfolded as both a performance showcase and a reflection of ShowBT Philippines’ evolving artist system, bringing together trainees, alumni, and guest performers in one lineup. Framed under its rebranded SBT Academy, the event highlighted how the company continues to shape its pipeline while opening its stage to a broader mix of acts.
The opening segment set a forward-looking tone. Two trainee groups were introduced, offering a glimpse into the next generation of performers being developed under the system. While both teams remain in training, cues throughout the program suggested that one of the groups is already being positioned for debut within the year, turning the stage into a soft preview of what’s next for the label.

Venisse Sy’s set followed with a balance of global pop influence and localized execution. Known as the Tagalog singing voice of Mira in K-pop Demon Hunters, she performed “Golden” with a Tagalog bridge, alongside an upbeat Korean track and her original “Ililipad Ko,” reinforcing her range as both performer and recording artist.
Adea Dailo and GY carried a different narrative—one shaped by transition. Both acts trace their roots to PLUUS, with GY now performing as a duo composed of Gab and Yen.

Adea delivered a four-song R&B set focused on vocal tone, while GY sang original tracks and previewed their unreleased song “Look Me Up,” signaling new material and a shift beyond their earlier group identity.

Jung Hye Rin, a Korean guest performer, anchored the night’s ballad-driven moments with a mix of originals like “A Letter from Mother” and “Melty Love,” alongside covers including “Kumpas” by Moira Dela Torre and a selection from Hotel del Luna.
AJAA stood out as one of the event’s guest acts, separate from the SBTown roster. Their performance of “BES I LUV U,” “AKO NA,” and “TORPE” brought a distinctly local P-pop tone to the lineup, expanding the scope of the showcase beyond the company’s own artists.

YGIG delivered one of the night’s most energetic segments, performing originals like “CHIKA-CHIK-A” and “SALUTE,” alongside a cover of “California King Bed” by Rihanna. The set culminated in a collaborative stage of “Finesse” by Bruno Mars, bringing together YGIG, GY, and Adea in a shared performance that emphasized the label’s interconnected roster.

Beyond the performances, the Music Fiesta carried a defined purpose. The event was mounted in support of scholarship assistance for the grandchildren of Filipino veterans who fought in the Battle of Yultong—one of the most significant engagements involving Filipino troops during the Korean War. In partnership with PEFTOK, the initiative aims to extend the legacy of these veterans by investing in the education of their families.

PEFTOK represents the Filipino soldiers deployed to Korea in the early 1950s, whose contributions have long been recognized as a symbol of the Philippines’ role in international peacekeeping efforts. By linking the concert to this cause, SBTown positions the Music Fiesta as more than a stage for emerging artists.
With at least five scholars set to benefit from the program, the event connects contemporary pop culture with historical remembrance—turning a night of performances into an effort that carries forward the stories and sacrifices of a previous generation.
