Laufey and BINI Share Manila Stage in Surprise Team-Up

Laufey surprised fans on day two of her A Matter of Time Manila concert with a special “From the Start” performance alongside BINI.

Spectators of Laufey’s A Matter of Time in  Manila concert got an unexpected crossover moment after the singer-songwriter brought out BINI during the second night of the show.

The surprise collaboration featured a live performance of “From the Start,” blending Laufey’s jazz-pop sound with BINI’s harmonies in a moment that quickly made rounds online.

Videos of the performance immediately spread across TikTok and X, with fan calling the crossover one of the standout concert moments of the weekend.

The interaction didn’t stop onstage either. Shortly after the show, Laufey and the group also filmed a TikTok together backstage, adding even more fuel to the already chaotic timelines of both fandoms.

Among the members, Maloi Ricalde particularly drew attention online as the collaboration happened around her 24th birthday celebration. Fans pointed out how the performance effectively turned into a real-life fangirl moment for the BINI member, who has previously expressed admiration for Laufey and her music.

The appearance also adds to BINI’s growing list of international crossover moments as the P-pop group continues expanding its global reach. The group is currently preparing for their upcoming SIGNALS World Tour, which will include stops across the Philippines, North America, Europe, and Asia. The tour will officially kick off with a two-night residency at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila on June 20.

Their increasing international presence has also fueled broader discussions around BINI’s role as cultural representatives for the country, especially as conversations continue online about the possibility of the group becoming tourism ambassadors for the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Laufey’s Manila stop further highlighted her strong Filipino fanbase, with local audiences continuing to embrace her blend of vintage-inspired jazz-pop and emotionally driven songwriting.
