JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith are set to headline Will You Fake Marry Me? iWant's first-ever micro-series packed with chaos, kilig, and pretend wedding vows.
Wedding bells are officially ringing for JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith as the fan-favorite duo gears up for a brand-new project together. The pair, collectively known online as JMFyang, will star in Will You Fake Marry Me?, the first-ever micro-series from iWant.
The upcoming romantic comedy revolves around a fake marriage setup between two characters attempting to win a luxurious house prize for newlyweds, instantly giving the series the kind of chaotic rom-com energy internet audiences love.
iWant unveiled the project through a first-look reveal on social media, teasing fans with photos from the series alongside director Jojo Saguin, known for titles such as On the Wings of Love, Linlang, and The Alibi.
Joining the cast are Karina Bautista, Miguel Vergara, Alyssa Muhlach, and veteran actress Matet de Leon.
The project also marks another major team-up for JM and Fyang following their previous iWant digital series Ghosting and the success of their solo film Almost Us.
Beyond the pairing itself, the announcement has also sparked curiosity around the “micro-series” format, a shorter-form style of storytelling that continues gaining traction among streaming audiences and highly online viewers looking for fast-paced, bingeable romance content.
While iWant has yet to announce the official release date, one thing is already clear: JMFyang’s fake marriage era is fully underway.
