Meet the “Pin-Saved” Seal: Get to Know ZEEN & Tasted’s 15 Awardees

The ZEEN & Tasted Food Festival recognizes 15 food and lifestyle brands across categories and some Gen ZEEN favorites.

A food spot landing on your saved folder can mean many things: somewhere you’ve been meaning to try, a café that keeps appearing on your feed, or that restaurant your friend insists you need to visit.

The “Pin-Saved” Seal from the 2026 ZEEN & Tasted Food Festival takes that familiar act of bookmarking a food spot and turns it into a collection of 15 category-based recognitions.

Rather than putting every winner into one overall ranking, the seal spans different corners of the food scene. Its categories include regional cuisine, family dining, wellness, deli and sandwiches, cafés, Italian and Korean food, matcha, brunch, sustainability, and innovation. It also includes a Favorite Gen ZEEN Munchies award and an Editor-in-Chief’s Pick.

The official 2026 awardee list identifies 15 recipients across these categories.

Here’s a closer look at the businesses behind the Pin-Saved Seal.

Palm Grill — Regional Cuisine for the Youth

Palm Grill received 2026 Regional Cuisine for the Youth, a recognition that comes at an interesting time for the Quezon City restaurant.

Founded in 2017 by Tausug Chef Miggy Moreno, Palm Grill specializes in the cuisine of the wider ZamBaSulta region, including Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. Its menu has featured dishes such as tiyula itum, piyanggang manok, and the restaurant’s signature dulang feast.

The restaurant has also received international recognition: the Michelin Guide awarded Palm Grill a Bib Gourmand, making Moreno the first Tausug chef to receive two Bib Gourmand distinctions through Palm Grill and his other restaurant, Cabel. Michelin has highlighted Moreno’s work in bringing Mindanaoan cuisine to a wider audience.

The Lounge Cafe at The Granary — Top Destination Cafe for the Youth

The Lounge Cafe at The Granary took home 2026 Top Destination Cafe for the Youth.

Located within The Granary Private Villas in Bacolor, Pampanga, the café forms part of a larger destination property rather than operating solely as a standalone coffee stop.

Its setting at the heart of Bacolor, Pampanga gives it a destination-oriented character that aligns with the category’s focus.

Limbaga 77 — Top Family Dining for the Youth

Located along Scout Limbaga in Quezon City’s Tomas Morato area, the restaurant has been operating as a café-restaurant and event venue, with Filipino and Asian dishes among its offerings.

Its menu includes familiar Filipino favorites such as crispy pata, making it a more traditional sit-down option within the Pin-Saved lineup. Their recognition also shows that the festival’s youth-oriented food picks aren’t limited to cafés, trendy drinks, or solo dining spots. Family meals get a place on the map, too.

Mood Food — Top Wellness Food Brand for the Youth

The brand was created by fashion stylist and entrepreneur Liz Uy and focuses on granola snack bars made with whole-food ingredients. Mood Food launched with multiple flavors, with each bar designed around different moods and preferences.

The brand has also been positioned as an alternative to conventional grab-and-go snacks, with its products emphasizing ingredients such as oats, nuts, seeds, and other whole-food components. With wellness increasingly becoming part of how young consumers think about food—not simply as dieting, but as what fits into their everyday routines—the category gives Mood Food a natural place in the Pin-Saved lineup.

Rebel Bakehouse — Editor-in-Chief’s Pick

Rebel Bakehouse earned the 2026 Editor-in-Chief’s Pick. The bakery began in Baguio and has built its identity around bread, pastries, and coffee.

Its offerings have included laminated pastries and other baked goods, while the brand has expanded beyond its original Baguio base with Metro Manila locations and pop-ups. It stands as the festival’s distinct editorial recognition within the Pin-Saved list.

159 Deli — Top Deli and Sandwiches

Magihnawa area has been known for its rich and flavorful tricks up on its sleeves, but 159 Deli has distinctively built its menu around bagel sandwiches, with options ranging from simple combinations such as butter or cream cheese to more elaborate sandwich builds. Its focus on bagels gives the restaurant a particularly specific identity within Quezon City’s increasingly crowded sandwich scene.

Its recognition also comes at a time when deli-style sandwiches and bagel shops have been gaining renewed attention among Metro Manila diners.

Mabuhay Craft Coffee — Top Concept Cafe

Located in San Juan, the 24-hour café is led by chef Kel Zaguirre and approaches coffee with distinctly Filipino references.

Its menu has included drinks such as Tsokolate Batirol, as well as Gatcha!, a combination inspired by gata, matcha, and latik. The café also serves coffee, baked goods, and other drinks, creating a concept that goes beyond the standard coffee-and-pastry formula.

The Pin-Saved recognition therefore comes with a clear distinction from The Lounge Cafe at The Granary’s destination-oriented award: Mabuhay Craft Coffee’s recognition is specifically for its concept.

Manarola BGC — Top Italian Dining Spot

Maranola’s Italian identity remains central to the restaurant, while its current concept incorporates influences from contemporary Italian dining. The restaurant’s transformation is part of a wider evolution of BGC’s dining scene, where established concepts continue to be reworked for newer audiences.

McDonald’s — Favorite Gen ZEEN Munchies

Unlike the cuisine- or format-specific awards, this category is explicitly framed around the Gen ZEEN audience. It recognizes a brand whose food is already deeply embedded in the everyday eating habits of Filipinos, from quick meals to late-night cravings.

Its inclusion also makes the Pin-Saved list broader than a collection of independent restaurants and specialty food concepts.

Luxe Slim Beauty & Wellness — Top Innovative Food Brand

Focusing on innovation instead of a particular culinary style or dining setup, this category stands out as one of the most concept-driven awards in the selection. The brand’s official recognition for outstanding achievement in functional nutrition, beauty, and lifestyle innovation was accepted by CEO Anna Magkawas, who was joined by representatives RJ Macaraig and Justin Dela Cruz.

Luxe Slim Beauty & Wellness further highlighted its commitment to food innovation at the festival through a dedicated showcase of Konjac Zero Shiratake Rice led by Anna Magkawas. The brand drew substantial crowds with live culinary masterclasses featuring TikTok personality Mommy Rizza Dizon and rising culinary creator Chef Cara, who shared insights on healthier choices and creating practical meals that fit into busy daily routines.

The demonstrations highlighted the shirataki rice as a calorie-friendly, budget-friendly, and versatile alternative that seamlessly absorbs rich spices in dishes like fried rice and stir-fries. Furthermore, wellness and lifestyle personalities Cat Arambulo and Tuesday Vargas participated by sharing valuable health and wellness advice tailored for young women.

Go-To Matcha — Top Matcha Place

The dedicated category reflects how matcha has grown from a supporting item on café menus into a food-and-drink category of its own. Across Metro Manila, specialty matcha shops have emerged alongside the broader café boom, with customers increasingly paying attention to the quality, origin, preparation, and flavor profile of the powder itself.

Go-To Matcha’s inclusion gives that growing niche its own place within the Pin-Saved awards rather than grouping it under general cafés.

Rekdi — Top Urban Casual Dining for the Youth

Located in Poblacion, Makati, the three-story restaurant was created by filmmaker and food enthusiast Erik Matti and describes its concept as a “modern karinderya.”

The restaurant draws from the familiar Filipino neighborhood eatery while reworking the idea for a contemporary setting. Its menu combines Filipino flavors with modern techniques, while dishes are finished over fire and grill during service.

Rekdi also takes a communal approach to dining, with its multi-level space combining food, drinks, and social gathering—making its urban-casual designation particularly fitting.

Scratch — Top Brunch Place for the Youth

Led by self-taught baker Ralph Sy and Charlene Ng, Scratch began as a neighbourhood bakery-restaurant known for bread, pastries, and brunch. The restaurant has since moved to Aguirre Street in Legazpi Village, Makati, where its current space features an open kitchen and communal dining setup.

Its menu includes staples such as the mortadella sandwich, sourdough plate, meatballs in tomato sauce, and French toast, while its bakery program remains central to the restaurant. Scratch’s recognition puts the spotlight on brunch as an experience in itself—somewhere between a breakfast run and a full afternoon meal.

Dehusk — Top Sustainable Food Brand for the Youth

Dehusk was named 2026 Top Sustainable Food Brand for the Youth.

The Philippine plant-based brand is known for its coconut-based milk alternative and has been associated with actress and entrepreneur Nadine Lustre, who is among its co-founders.

Dehusk’s products have been positioned as plant-based alternatives to conventional dairy, with its coconut milk marketed for uses ranging from coffee and smoothies to everyday cooking.

Paldo — Top Korean Food Place for the Youth

Founded by television host Ryan Bang, Paldo rounded out the list as 2026 Top Korean Food Place for the Youth. It opened in Quezon City in 2024 with the goal of introducing Filipino diners to Korean cuisine beyond the familiar all-you-can-eat samgyeopsal format.

Bang has described Paldo as a Korean fine-dining concept created specifically for the Philippine market. The restaurant’s name refers to the traditional eight provinces of Korea, and its menu draws from different regional Korean food traditions.

The official ZEEN & Tasted award list identifies Ryan Bang and Chef Dong Pyo Jeon as representatives for the award.

The 2026 Pin-Saved Seal covers a deliberately broad range of food experiences. It offers a curated starting point in a food culture where discovering your next favorite spot can begin with a TikTok, an Instagram post, a friend’s recommendation—or, yes, a saved pin—the Pin-Saved Seal turns 15 very different food experiences into one map worth exploring.
