James Reid is opening the door to a new chapter with his latest album, Honey, I’m Home, a 10-track project that feels intimate, warm, and unmistakably his. Released on September 10, the album explores love, connection, gratitude, and the idea of finding a sense of home, not simply as a physical place, but as a feeling.

The album begins with “Honey I’m Home (Intro)” before moving into “Attention” and “All Night,” the latter featuring OPM singer Arthur Nery. Reid continues the journey with “Traffic,” followed by “Sunny Side,” which features producer and collaborator Luke April. The tracklist also includes “Blessed,” “Indiana,” “Richest Man Alive,” “On My Way” featuring ISSA, and “Unbecoming.”

Across the album, Reid leans into R&B and soul while incorporating elements of funk, soft rock, yacht rock, and classic pop. The result is a sound that feels polished but still organic, reflecting the more comfortable and personal space Reid says he has found in his music.

One of the album’s most personal moments comes through “Indiana,” which Reid co-wrote with his girlfriend, Issa Pressman. The song serves as a message to their future child, giving the track an intimate meaning that extends the album’s idea of home into family and the future.

Issa also appears on “On My Way,” which originally began as her own song with Luke April. Reid later added his own verse and included the track on the album, making their collaboration another meaningful part of the project.

The album’s collaborations continue with Arthur Nery adding his vocals to the nocturnal “All Night,” while Luke April brings a laid-back rap and R&B flow to “Sunny Side.” Together, the collaborations add different textures to Reid’s sound without taking away from the album’s cohesive feeling.

“Honey, I’m Home” feels like an invitation into Reid’s current chapter. It reflects an artist who is less interested in chasing a particular sound and more comfortable creating music that feels authentic to who he is now.

And perhaps that’s what makes the album’s title so fitting. “Honey, I’m Home” is ultimately about finding comfort in the people, experiences, and moments that make life feel whole and James Reid is letting listeners come along for the ride.
