What started as a revelation on Gandang Gabi Vice has quickly turned into a trending conversation online, with actress Reign Parani getting dragged into speculation surrounding the identity of the “mystery girl” allegedly involved in a story shared by Fyang Smith about JM Ibarra.

The issue began during the September 20 episode of Gandang Gabi Vice, where Fyang and JM appeared as guests. During the show’s “Deep Truth” segment, Fyang presented a statement claiming that a female celebrity once invited JM to go up to her hotel room during their first Star Magic Ball. According to Fyang, the woman personally invited JM to continue the after-party in her room and was older than her. JM confirmed that he was indeed approached, recalling that he simply smiled and declined because he did not want to appear disrespectful.

Fyang also gave additional clues about the unidentified actress, describing her as someone who speaks English and is from ABS-CBN. 

Following the episode, social media users began trying to figure out who the “mystery girl” could be. Different actresses were mentioned online, and Reign Parani eventually became one of the names caught in the speculation. As discussions grew, some fans and netizens began connecting the clues from the GGV segment to Reign despite the lack of confirmation that she was the person being referred to.

The speculation eventually prompted people close to Reign to speak up. Actress Alexa Ilacad defended her fellow actress in a comment, saying that Reign was the last person she could imagine doing what was described in the blind item. 

Alexa pointed to Reign’s personality, particularly how shy she is when it comes to someone she likes. She shared that their friends would sometimes encourage Reign to approach her crush, but that she would still hesitate to make the first move.

Alexa’s comments quickly gained attention as fans rallied behind Reign amid the growing online discussion. Her defense did not identify who the mystery woman actually was, but instead focused on pushing back against the assumption that Reign was the person described in the story.

Meanwhile, another name that surfaced in the speculation, Kira Balinger, has also denied being involved. After her name circulated online, Kira reposted a statement from her official fan page explicitly saying that she was not the actress being referred to. 

With social media users quickly attempting to identify the unnamed actress, the controversy has centered on online speculation. Since the GGV segment never disclosed the woman’s identity, suggested names remain unconfirmed.

While Alexa and others have offered support, the mystery girl’s identity remains officially unconfirmed following Fyang and JM’s appearance on GGV.
