Ariana Grande Drops Symbol-Laden “Hate That I Made You Love Me” MV

Dylan Menor bids farewell to Dating Alys Perez as production moves forward with changes, with casting updates now underway for Tripp Palma.
Ariana Grande has released the music video for her latest single, “hate that i made you love me,” giving fans a visually rich companion to her latest single.
The visual co-stars Justin Long, and was directed by Christian Breslauer, the filmmaker behind several of Grande’s recent high-concept music videos, including “Brighter Days Ahead” video in 2024.
Leaning heavily into horror-inspired imagery, the music video follows a cinematic narrative filled with symbolic details and unsettling visuals. Throughout the video, viewers can spot boxes labeled “trauma,” “monsters,” and “things I shouldn’t have said,” details that have quickly sparked discussions among fans attempting to decode their meaning.
As with many of Grande’s recent visual releases, fans have begun sharing their own interpretations online, particularly around the video’s symbolism and recurring themes of emotional baggage, regret, and healing.
“hate that i made you love me” serves as one of the latest previews of Grande’s upcoming eighth studio album, Petal, which is scheduled for release on July 31.
