Ashtine and David Are Ready to Fight for Their Dreams—and Each Other

The Filipino adaptation of the K-drama brings Ashtine, David, McCoy, and Aubrey together for a story about chasing dreams and finding love.

What happens when your longtime best friend becomes the person you might want to spend forever with? Nation’s Mutya Ashtine and Pambansang Ginoo David are about to find out in the Philippine adaptation of Fight for My Way.

Viva One unveiled the official poster and teaser for the upcoming series on October 28, giving viewers a first look at the new pairing. The adaptation stars Olviga as Aira and Licauco as Hanz, alongside McCoy de Leon and Aubrey Caraan as Manny and Sally.

Ashtine’s Aira dreams of becoming a television announcer, while David’s Hanz is a former taekwondo prodigy hoping to return to his goal of becoming a professional fighter. As the two encourage each other to chase their ambitions, their friendship begins to make room for something more.

Meanwhile, McCoy plays Manny, the practical and level-headed member of the group, while Aubrey takes on the role of Sally, Aira and Hanz’s dependable friend and Manny’s longtime partner. Together, the four make up the “Crazy Fantastic Four,” each facing their own challenges in love and career.

Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, the series marks Viva One’s first Korean series adaptation and the first on-screen pairing of Ashtine and David.

Originally a hit 2017 Korean drama starring Kim Ji-won and Park Seo-joon, Fight for My Way follows four friends navigating adulthood while trying to pursue the dreams they once put on hold. The Filipino version brings the story to a new audience, with a familiar mix of friendship, ambition, romance, and the growing pains of figuring out what comes next. Fight for My Way premieres on Viva One on November 20.
