‘Camp Rock 3’ brings Demi, Jonas Brothers for a new chapter

A review of Supergirl exploring Kara Zor-El’s journey of identity, loss, and becoming, and how the film shapes her as a hero.

The Camp Rock franchise is officially making its long-awaited return.

Disney+ unveiled the first teaser for Camp Rock 3, offering fans a glimpse of the next chapter in the beloved musical franchise while reuniting Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers more than a decade after the last film.

Set years after the original movies, Camp Rock 3 follows  the fictional boy band Connect 3, composed of Shane Gray (Nick Jonas), Nate Gray (Joe Jonas), and Jason Gray (Kevin Jonas) as they prepare for a major reunion concert. As part of their comeback, the trio searches for a new opening act, introducing a fresh generation of aspiring performers.

The teaser also previews several of the film’s new campers, including Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, and Hudson Stone, alongside snippets of an original song from the upcoming film.

Beyond returning to their iconic roles, Lovato and the Jonas Brothers also serve as executive producers, marking their first time taking on creative leadership for the franchise.

Camp Rock 3 premieres August 13 on Disney Channel, followed by its Disney+ debut on August 14.

Released in 2008, the original Camp Rock became one of Disney Channel’s defining musical films, launching Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers to a new level of global recognition. Its soundtrack and coming-of-age story helped cement the franchise as one of the most memorable pop culture phenomena of the late 2000s.
