Carlos Yulo and Chloe San Jose are looking ahead to marriage, with the Olympic champion hoping their special day stays focused on the two of them.

In an interview with Karen Davila released on September 10, the couple opened up about their six-year relationship and plans for the future. When asked if they wanted their parents present at the wedding, Carlos said he would rather have their special day centered on “love and joy.”

“Ayaw ko po masira ang moment. Gusto ko sa amin lang po ’yun,” Carlos shared. Chloe said she would respect what makes him comfortable, while revealing that Carlos has already been looking for an engagement ring, though she eventually found out about the surprise.

Carlos’ relationship with his mother, Angelica Yulo, has been highly publicized, particularly following his double-gold win at the 2024 Paris Olympics amid family and financial issues.

Carlos has since spoken about choosing forgiveness and moving forward, saying he has let go of certain issues involving his family and would rather leave the past behind. For now, he and Chloe are looking ahead to their future together.
