Columbina’s Long Awaited Debut Changes Genshin Impact

Columbina Hyposelenia is finally playable in Patch Version 6.3 through the Somnias a Luna banner. Years of lore and speculation become interactive gameplay, and she steps in with elegance, power, and a presence unlike any other character in Teyvat.

Columbina has teased fans for years in quests and story snippets. Her playable debut is long-awaited, and she makes history as the first character to glide as if floating, offering a fresh visual and gameplay experience.

Known as the Moon Maiden, Columbina is tied to Nod-Krai and a rare lunar power. She was once part of the Fatui, but eventually separated and returned to her homeland to hide. The Fatui, acting under the Tsaritsa’s orders, seek to retrieve her at any cost. Her departure is more than a simple defection—it highlights her autonomy and the complexity of her “moon” status, making her one of the most intriguing characters in the game.

Columbina’s visual design reinforces her story. Her lunar-inspired outfit, delicate mask, and flowing silhouette make her one of the most beautiful characters in Genshin Impact, while her floating walk sets her apart from everyone else.

In combat, she acts as an off-field damage dealer, enabling Lunar-Charged, Lunar-Bloom, and Lunar-Crystallize reactions for her team. Her Elemental Skill summons a Gravity Ripple dealing continuous AoE Hydro damage and building Gravity whenever Lunar reactions occur. Her Elemental Burst creates a Lunar Domain, boosting Lunar reactions and increasing their damage. When Gravity reaches its maximum, it unleashes powerful Lunar reaction damage, offering strategic depth and rewarding coordination.

Columbina’s arrival is more than a routine update. Her floating movement, layered relationship with the Fatui, and lunar-based gameplay make her one of the most distinctive characters the game has introduced. She is proof that Genshin Impact continues to turn its characters into living stories, not just playable units.
