After a steady run of joint projects, Donny and Belle confirm a pause, with Tayo Sa Wakas set as their final project for now
After a string of back-to-back projects, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano have confirmed that their upcoming film Tayo Sa Wakas will be their last project together for now.
The update came during their guest appearance on celebrity and host Bianca Gonzalez’ podcast, where the pair discussed their decision to take on separate projects moving forward.
Donny shared that they have worked continuously as a tandem over the past few years, and the pause would allow them to explore individual directions in their careers.
“Siguro, we’re just at a point where we’re choosing to support each other through this and each other’s growth,” Donny underscores their continuous support for each other beyond their collaborating projects.
Belle added that the decision was mutual and aligned with their current priorities as actors. Both emphasized the importance of growth, particularly in taking on roles outside their established pairing.
“Whether that’s working with each other or not working with each other, we’re really supportive of each other, and this is the best step to growth, and that’s why we really decided on doing it,”
The announcement places added attention on the upcoming premiere of Tayo Sa Wakas, directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana. The film follows their previous collaborations, including He’s Into Her and An Inconvenient Love, and is scheduled for release in May 2026.
Their decision reflects a shift in how on-screen pairings are managed, with actors balancing joint projects and individual work. Pangilinan and Mariano will continue their respective careers while remaining open to future collaborations.
For audiences, Tayo Sa Wakas now stands as their next joint appearance before both actors move into other separate projects.
