Dylan Menor Leaves ‘Dating Alys Perez’, Who’s The New Tripp?

Dylan Menor bids farewell to Dating Alys Perez as production moves forward with changes, with casting updates now underway for Tripp Palma.

Dylan Menor is no longer part of Dating Alys Perez, stepping away from the project as production continues to move forward with adjustments behind the scenes.

In a statement, Viva One addressed the casting change, citing scheduling considerations as the primary factor. “Dylan’s commitments and the schedule of the production needed to be considered,” the company said, adding that all parties involved had mutually agreed to proceed with the series despite the shift.

The production also emphasized that the story will continue as planned, noting, “As we wait, the fans to continue the journey and story of Drake, Alys, and even Tripp, all parties involved have come to the agreement that the show must go on… start the trip towards a new Tripp.”

Adding to the update, Menor’s next screen project has also been confirmed—he is set to star in the upcoming adaptation of The Good Doctor, produced by Creazion Studios, marking a new direction in his acting slate following his exit from the teen romance series.

The development introduces a key change for Dating Alys Perez, particularly for viewers familiar with Alys Perez’s source material, as Menor’s departure opens up the role of Tripp Palma for reinterpretation. With the character now being recast, attention shifts toward how the production will reintroduce Tripp into the narrative and who will ultimately step into the role.

Despite the casting shift, the series remains in motion, with production continuing as the team works toward completing the adaptation. For now, the update marks a transition point for Dating Alys Perez, reshaping expectations while keeping the story moving forward.
