After more than two decades, MYX charts has quietly vanished from the channel, leaving fans wondering of its status.
For generations of Filipino music fans, checking the MYX Daily Top 10 or waiting to see which artist claimed the No. 1 spot became part of an after-school routine. This week, longtime viewers noticed something different: the charts were nowhere to be found.
Fans took to social media after discovering that the MYX Charts page had been removed from the channel’s official website. Chart countdown programs have also disappeared from MYX Global’s latest programming schedule, prompting speculation that the long-running feature may have been quietly discontinued.

As of writing, MYX has not released an official statement regarding the apparent removal of its music charts.

Launched in 2002, the MYX Charts became one of Philippine music television’s defining features, giving OPM artists, international acts, and, in later years, P-pop groups a platform to connect with audiences. Landing a spot on the countdown or reaching No. 1 was often viewed as a milestone, driven largely by fan voting and viewer engagement.
For many millennials and Gen Z viewers, the charts served as more than a daily ranking. They introduced audiences to new music, documented changing trends across genres, and became part of a generation’s television routine long before streaming playlists and algorithm-driven recommendations reshaped music discovery.
The disappearance of the charts also reflects how dramatically music consumption has evolved over the past two decades. As streaming platforms, short-form videos, and real-time global charts became the industry’s primary drivers, traditional television countdowns gradually occupied a smaller space in the way audiences followed music.
Whether the MYX Charts have officially reached the end of their run or are simply undergoing a programming overhaul remains unclear. For now, however, their absence has left many longtime viewers reminiscing about a countdown that once helped define Filipino pop culture.
