The newest P-pop girl group FINA makes their debut with Paramdam, a music video inspired by Philippine mythology, celebrating self-acceptance, diversity, and modern Filipina identity.
Newest P-pop girl group FINA officially debuted on February 20, with the release of their first single and music video, “Paramdam”. The five-member group held a media launch in Quezon City a day before their debut, introducing themselves as a representation of modern Filipinas—confident, multifaceted, and unapologetically themselves.

FINA consists of Annika from Cavite, Chill from Cagayan de Oro, Cia from Cabanatuan, Heaven from Quezon City, and Nala, who is fully Chinese but born and raised in the Philippines. Their name comes from Filipina and the phrase “Fine As You Are,” reflecting their message of self-acceptance and empowerment.
“We incorporate the word Filipina in our name because even if we come from different cultures and backgrounds, in the end, we are standing on this stage as Filipinas,” the group said.
They have no fixed positions—no leader, main dancer, or main vocalist—because they believe each member can step up and lead in her own way. Their fans are officially called FINEST, echoing the group’s tagline.
Their debut single “Paramdam” blends hip-hop with experimental beats, while the music video draws inspiration from Philippine mythology. Each member embodies a mythical creature: Annika as the Aswang, Nala as the Lobo, Chill as the Engkanto, Cia as the Sirena, and Heaven as the Diwata.
“Our favorite part of shooting the video was seeing the full concept come together and performing choreography that really shows the energy of the song,” Annika said.
The members were also deeply involved in the creative process, contributing to the music, choreography, and visuals to ensure the final product reflects their personalities and collaborative vision.

Years of preparation shaped FINA’s artistry. The members balanced school, auditions, and intense training in ballet, musical theater, dance covers, and singing competitions. This foundation helped them develop the skills and confidence needed to debut on a national stage and represent modern Filipinas through performance.
Looking ahead, FINA teases that future releases will include songs in their own languages, such as Bisaya and Kapampangan, adding another layer of personal and cultural identity to their music. Their approach signals an openness to experimentation while staying rooted in their backgrounds, with plans to explore different concepts and collaborations as they grow.
With “Paramdam” now out and more music on the horizon, FINA is quietly carving their own lane in P-pop. Their debut shows that modern Filipinas can be diverse, authentic, and unapologetically themselves, making FINA a group to watch.
