Rising alternative band fitterkarma is set to mark a major milestone with their debut headline concert, kung tayo’y nasa isang horror na pelikula, tiyak ako ang una mong papatayin: The Album Concert, taking place on September 19, 2026, at the Metropolitan Theater Manila.

Co-produced by the band alongside GNN, the event serves as the official launchpad for their long-awaited, self-titled debut full-length album, set to drop two weeks prior.

The show promises an immersive, track-by-track live presentation of the album.

Designed as fitterkarma’s most ambitious production to date, the performance features expanded stage elements and collaboration with The Manila String Machine, who will add orchestral backing to the band’s signature atmospheric sound.

“Witnessing the record live will be a more fulfilling experience,” says vocalist and guitarist Joao de Leon. “Watching the songs performed live is the best way to experience it, because music being played live has no limits, reaching and releasing your emotions… the record is meant to be felt above all.”

Guitarist Lory (aka Mikee Mendoza) added, “Hearing any album in the order intended by the artist is an experience in itself… So aside from the studio album, we hope to elevate that experience by bringing it into a live setting and bring justice to the recorded versions of our tracks.”

Formed in 2023, Fitterkarma, comprising Joao de Leon on vocals/guitar, bassist Sophia Miranda, Sanders Bayas, the band’s drummer, and LORY on **lead** guitar, has built a dedicated following by blending Philippine folklore with macabre storytelling and theatrical aesthetics.

The band recently dominated local airwaves with massive hits like “Kalapastangan” and “Pag-ibig ay Kanibalismo II,” both reaching No. 1 on the Spotify Philippines Top 50 and Billboard Philippines Hot 100. Their latest single, “Purgatoryo,” offers a glimpse into their upcoming record, steering into a noise-driven, shoegaze-infused direction.
