From Heartbreak to Silence: DxS’ “Blue” Epilogue Version Is the Final Goodbye

DxS has released the official music video for “Blue (Epilogue Ver.)” on January 19, marking the emotional conclusion of their debut project, Serenade.
The Epilogue Version serves as the narrative resolution to the Cinema Version released on January 12. While the earlier version focused on unsealed wounds and the slow breakdown of a relationship, the Epilogue Version centers on the aftermath, capturing the final emotions left once everything has already fallen apart.

The difference is also clear in the visuals. The Cinema Version unfolds as a seven minute cinematic story about two lovers drifting apart after moving at different paces. In contrast, the Epilogue Version strips the storytelling down, placing emphasis on reflection and emotional closure rather than plot progression.
Vocally, the Epilogue Version leans into restraint and vulnerability. DK and Seungkwan’s delivery highlights the sadness in every breath, reinforcing the sense of yearning established earlier in the project and giving the song a heavier emotional weight.

DxS is a sub unit of SEVENTEEN composed of DK (Dokyeom) and Seungkwan. The duo operates under PLEDIS Entertainment, a label under HYBE. Serenade is their first mini album as DxS.
With “Blue (Epilogue Ver.)”, DxS officially closes the Serenade era. The music video surpassed 4.5 million views within its first 24 hours, sealing the release as the final chapter of their debut project.
