From Kuya’s House to the Big Screen: Bianca, Will, and Dustin Take Their Story to Cinemas

Months after the Big Night, three of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’s most talked-about housemates are making the leap from reality TV to the silver screen. Will Ashley, Dustin Yu, and Bianca de Vera are headlining the upcoming film Love You So Bad, and fans of the trio couldn’t be happier.

The project is a three-way collaboration between Star Cinema, GMA Pictures, and Regal Entertainment, with veteran romance director Mae Cruz-Alviar steering the ship and a screenplay by Crystal San Miguel. That lineup alone is a major draw, but much of the buzz also comes from the chemistry of its lead stars.

Inside the PBB house, viewers saw sparks fly between WillCa (Will and Bianca) and DusBi (Dustin and Bianca), making them two of the season’s most followed arcs. The film appears to draw inspiration from that same tension.

In an interview for ABS-CBN News, Cruz-Alviar explained: “It’s a classic love triangle story, and we wanted a story that can capture that. Kasi alam naman natin kung ano ‘yong naging charm, or at least ano ‘yong naging kwento nila sa bahay ni Kuya.

While Love You So Bad isn’t being billed as a remake, it takes cues from Wenn Deramas’ 1988 hit Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita, which paired Claudine Barretto with Rico Yan and Deither Ocampo. Cruz Alviar also noted, “It’s not a remake, it’s just inspired by… inspired by because [of] the story… this is relevant to this day.”

For Bianca, Dustin, and Will, the film marks a milestone in their careers. Bianca described the experience as “surreal”: “Parang kahapon lang, Big Night lang, and then now we’re doing this big project, this milestone with Regal, GMA and of course, Star Cinema.”

Will, who previously starred with Bianca in the 2023 primetime drama Unbreak My Heart, called the opportunity a “dream come true.” Dustin, for his part, shared his excitement about working with Cruz-Alviar, admitting that Crazy Beautiful You remains one of his favorite Filipino rom-coms.

Plot details remain under wraps, but early hints point to a youthful, kilig-filled love triangle brimming with both fun and emotional stakes. Given how PBB audiences already ship Bianca with both Dustin and Will, the movie seems poised to tap into that playful rivalry and bring it to the big screen.

For fans, Love You So Bad offers the chance to see if the spark that started inside the PBB house can grow into something bigger, bolder, and lasting in cinemas. No release date has been announced yet, but anticipation is already high.
