Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra’s New Microdrama Arrives June 30

From their post-Pinoy Big Brother rise, Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra return with a new fake-marriage trope microdrama.

Fresh off a busy week that saw them make headlines ahead of the Star Magical Prom, love team Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra are set to return to the screen in a new microdrama, Will You Fake Marry Me?, premiering on June 30.

The series marks the pair’s latest project together following a string of appearances that have steadily expanded their onscreen partnership beyond reality television.

The microdrama follows a fake-marriage setup, with Smith playing June Sampaga as the story unfolds across short-form episodes directed by Jojo Saguin. The first part is scheduled for release on June 30, with the second installment arriving shortly after.

The announcement arrives at a moment when microdramas continue gaining traction among viewers accustomed to consuming serialized stories in shorter formats.

For Smith and Ibarra, Will You Fake Marry Me? adds another title to a growing list of collaborations since their post-Pinoy Big Brother transition into acting. The two previously headlined the digital series Ghosting, which served as their first major project as an official love team.

The June 30 premiere date places Will You Fake Marry Me? among the latest additions to ABS-CBN’s expanding slate of digital-first releases, with the familiar fake-marriage trope providing the backdrop for the pair’s newest screen partnership.
