In a social media post directed at Robin Padilla, actress Angel Locsin called out the actor-turned-senator over his recent remarks and several of his political positions.

The post came after Padilla declared, “Komunista po ako,” during the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte, a statement that quickly drew public attention.

Sharing Padilla’s statement on social media, Locsin reflected on the Robin Padilla she said she had known when they worked together. She recalled how he would tell stories about joining the armed struggle in his younger years before saying she was glad to see “the old Robin Padilla” in his recent statement, commending him for being honest.

However, the actress went on to question why Padilla remained silent when she was being red-tagged despite, according to her, knowing that the accusations against her were false. “Actually, kasama mo pa nga at kachikahan yung mga nangre-red-tag. Naghugas-kamay at pumikit sa katotohanan,” she wrote.

Locsin also questioned Padilla’s priorities as a senator, saying many Filipinos had expected him to become a strong voice for the Muslim community when he was elected. She further asked why he appeared to be more vocal in expressing support for Quiboloy despite those expectations.

The actress likewise expressed disappointment over Padilla’s stance on China, saying it was different from the patriot she once admired. Recalling their similar backgrounds, Locsin said their loyalty should remain with God and the Filipino people rather than any single individual.

She ended her message with, “Tama na, Kuya. Gising na. Hindi pa huli ang lahat.” Robin Padilla has not posted or responded to the post as of writing.

The two worked on a few projects together and have become judges of a talent search competition in the same season.
