“Kung may problema ka" is usually the start of a conversation. For HEY JUNE!, it's now the title of a song about showing up for the people
“Kumusta ka?” has been a staple opener amongst Filipino conversations that often has a “kaya mo ‘yan!” follow up.
But for the uprising indie band HEY JUNE!, the simple disposition check becomes warmer with a more comforting sentiment “kung may problema ka, sabihin mo lang” through their latest single “Kung May Problema Ka.”

At a time when much of pop music revolves around romance, heartbreak, and moving on, the song focuses on platonic support, something that is often overlooked. The people who answer your calls at odd hours. The friends who sit through your spirals. The group chats that somehow double as a 24/7 care group.
Sonically, the track stays true to the band’s signature alternative pop-rock sound, pairing upbeat instrumentation with lyrics that encourage openness and connection. Rather than dwelling on problems themselves, the song focuses on what happens after admitting them out loud.
That message feels particularly resonant for a generation that has become increasingly comfortable discussing mental health, burnout, and emotional well-being online. While social media has made it easier than ever to share struggles, it has also highlighted how valuable genuine support systems can be.
The release arrives as HEY JUNE! celebrates five years together and prepares for its upcoming sophomore album. The track is a reminder that sometimes the most important thing someone can hear isn’t advice and knowing that somebody is willing to listen.
