The 39th Awit Awards brought OPM’s biggest names together for a night celebrating Filipino music, but the red carpet had its own story to tell.

Artists showed up in looks that felt distinctly their own, from IV of Spades’ retro-rock uniform to Maki’s sculptural streetwear and Jamiela’s full-on Victorian fantasy. Some kept things sleek and dramatic, while others leaned into silhouettes and details that demanded a second look.

Here are some of the night’s standout looks:

IV OF SPADES 

IV of Spades leaned into their retro-rock identity with coordinated black tailoring, exaggerated collars, and their signature sunglasses. The looks felt cohesive without losing the band’s familiar swagger, proving that matching doesn’t have to mean playing it safe.

MAKI 

OPM’s resident yearner Maki’s colorful fashion spectrum went full structural with an all-black look built around exaggerated shoulders, technical straps, and trousers that pooled dramatically at the bottom. The silhouette gave his streetwear sensibility a more futuristic edge, almost like something pulled from a graphic novel.

JAMIELA

Jamiela arrived looking like she had stepped straight out of a porcelain-doll fantasy. Her pastel pink Victorian-inspired gown came complete with a caged crinoline skirt, delicate frills, and a matching bonnet, giving the red carpet a healthy dose of camp.

NICOLE ASENSIO

Nicole Asensio brought classic stage glamour to the carpet in a dramatic black mermaid gown. Its sculpted silver corsetry bodice gave the otherwise sweeping silhouette a sharper finish, ending in a floor-length train that did plenty of the talking.

JANINE BERDIN

Janine Berdin brought her alt-pop edge to the red carpet sheer cutout details and layers of metallic accessories. The look felt unapologetic and a little unruly, matching the energy she has long brought to her music and performances.
