What started as an ordinary content shoot turned into a yacht-side promposal when JM Ibarra surprised his on-screen partner Fyang Smith ahead of the upcoming Star Magic Prom.

After arriving blindfolded, Smith was greeted by Ibarra holding a sign that read “PROM DATE, TARA?” The surprise unfolded aboard a yacht decorated with a heart-shaped arch, creating a picture-perfect setup for the invitation.

While the promposal quickly won attention for its romantic setup, Ibarra shared that the surprise was about more than securing a prom date. After weeks of work commitments, he wanted to create a moment where Smith could simply relax and enjoy herself. He also expressed wanting to give back some of the happiness she regularly brings to those around her.

The gesture also adds another memorable chapter to the pair’s journey ahead of the Star Magic Prom, which will serve as both Ibarra and Smith’s first experience attending the annual event.
