KATSEYE Wins New Artist of the Year at the 2026 AMAs

KATSEYE isn’t just in their rookie era anymore. They’re entering full global pop girl territory and the AMAs just made it official.

KATSEYE’s global pop takeover just hit a major milestone as the girl group officially won their first American Music Awards trophy with their New Artist of the Year win, cementing their status as one of the biggest breakout acts right now.

The multinational group beat out fellow nominees BTS, Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, and SOMBR for the award, adding another huge achievement to their rapidly growing résumé.

KATSEYE also performed and brought “Pinky Up” to the stage with a high-energy set that instantly had timelines buzzing, further proving why the group has become such an internet favorite amongst EYEKONS.

The win also places KATSEYE alongside a wave of globally rising acts reshaping pop music’s current landscape. With their mix of K-Pop training orientation, Western pop sensibilities, and hyper-online fan culture appeal, the group has managed to carve out a lane that feels both polished and extremely internet-aware.

In just a short period, the group has gone from debut-era to a fully established international act performing on one of music’s biggest stages. And with an AMA trophy now part of their growing list of achievements, the group’s global expansion looks far from slowing down.
