A new teaser for Sun Chaser just dropped, and beyond the promising animation was the voices that immediately got everyone talking.

Fans were quick to react after hearing the familiar voices of Manny Jacinto, Liza Soberano, Dingdong Dantes, and Charo Santos-Concio in the upcoming animated web series created by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Bobby Pontillas and writer Bernard Badion. The mix of local and international names instantly raised excitement, with many already calling the cast lineup one of the project’s biggest flexes.

Leading the voice cast is Manny Jacinto as Jordan Santos, a self-absorbed teenager who discovers a supernatural family legacy while visiting his grandmother’s island in the Philippines.

Liza Soberano continues her voice-acting streak following her lead role in Trese, while Charo Santos-Concio,with her familiar and iconic intonation adds veteran gravitas to the production. Dingdong Dantes also joins the ensemble, making the teaser feel even more stacked with star power.

Also lending their voices are Eugene Cordero, JR De Guzman, Zia Dantes, AC Bonifacio, and KD Estrada, creating a cast that bridges Hollywood and Manila.

The series blends traditional Philippine folklore with high-octane animation, following Jordan’s evolution into a Spirit Guardian as he battles mythical creatures threatening his grandmother’s island. Tasked with protecting his younger cousins, he embarks on a journey across a mythical ocean world. 

While more details about the plot and character roles remain under wraps, the teaser alone has already done its job: people are tuned in, seated, and ready to hear more.
