After closing his KOLORCOASTER: One More Ride show at Smart Araneta Coliseum, Maki reveals upcoming international tour stops and hints at a new “pink” concept that signals the next chapter of his music.
Maki closed his KOLORCOASTER: One More Ride concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on a high note Saturday night, revealing the show’s next chapter. Alongside announcing new international tour stops, the singer teased a new “pink era” that has been quietly woven into his performances and visuals since “Dilaw”.

For Maki, the night was not just a repeat concert. It was a turning point. Alongside a wider international tour, he confirmed that a new era is already in motion.
Maki opened with “Kahel na Langit,” steady and focused. The production felt tighter. The pacing felt deliberate. The show moved like it knew exactly where it was going.
He performed “Namumula” with KZ Tandingan, a meaningful moment with the artist he considers his industry mom. “Sikulo” became a vocal exchange with Angela Ken, the two switching verses and pushing each other vocally.

Then came “Dilaw.” This time, Gian Bernardino joined him onstage.
After the show, Maki explained the decision.
“Well, kasi, we wanna change talaga. As you know, Maloi had the moment nung KOLORCOASTER talaga.”
He emphasized that the previous pairing already had its spotlight.

“And siguro this time talaga, I wanted people to, you know, yung parang hindi nila ini-expect yung mangyayari. Kasi iba yun eh. Parang para sa akin, yung deserve ni Maloi yung moment na isang moment lang. Sa, pangalawa naman, iba naman.”
He also acknowledged the fandom dynamic.
“Ang unang sini-ship sa akin na top 1 si Maloi. Pangalawa, si Gian. So sabi ko, ‘ano, Gi, G ka ba?’ Sabi niya, ‘oo’, oo agad siya.”
Maki also reunited onstage with his siblings Haro and Lili, fulfilling a dream they have shared since childhood.

Beyond Manila, KOLORCOASTER is growing. After earlier stops in Qatar and Dubai, Maki is bringing the tour to Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and North America.
Asked about his reaction to the lineup of cities, he admitted, “Hindi ko nga alam lahat eh. Nalilito ako. Sabi ko, ‘punta ba talaga ako diyan?’ Nakita ko na lang sa poster.”
Still, he described the moment as something that makes him feel really proud. He shared that seeing fellow Filipino artists perform abroad gives him the same sense of joy. For him, it takes support within the industry to lift each other up.
He also stressed that fans deserve the full experience wherever he performs. Full venue or not, he plans to give the same energy and scale.

Throughout the concert, pink was present in every detail. The final reveal confirmed it.
In a previous ZEEN exclusive, Maki hinted that another color had always existed within the KOLORCOASTER storyline, even during “Dilaw.”
This time, he confirmed it. He explained that he enjoys planting hidden details for fans.
“I think pink is the next song, and maybe it’s not a song, maybe it’s a concept, maybe it’s a character; you know, madaming pwedeng mangyari,” he said.
When ZEEN asked why pink appears last, he answered, “Maybe it’s the start of something, or maybe it has been there the whole time, hindi lang natin napansin.”
In a separate conversation with ZEEN, he also shared that if you love The 1975, you might connect with his pink era, hinting at a possible shift in sound and direction.
And it is coming soon, “definitely this year.”
“Tingnan niyo na lang ‘yung correlation ng dilaw and pink, malalaman niyo,” he added.

Before stepping onstage, Maki admitted he had been in an emotional headspace. Being an artist can feel complicated. Doubts surface. You question your direction. Seeing Araneta sing every word back to him grounded him again. It reminded him why he started and why he continues.
By the time the last lights faded, KOLORCOASTER: One More Ride had done more than close a chapter—it set the stage for what comes next.
Maki is about to bring the ride across continents, giving fans the same production, the same energy, and a shared experience wherever they are.
And the pink era? It is already there, waiting quietly in the details, a hint of something bigger, something evolving, something only Maki could orchestrate.
The ride may be over in Manila, but it is just beginning everywhere else.
