Maki’s Next Single Leans Towards a Dusky Pink and We are Blushing

After “Dilaw,” “Bughaw,” and “Namumula,” Maki is hinting at a new pink-themed release teased since his February concert.

OPM singer-songwriter and resident yearner Maki is teasing what fans believe to be the next chapter in his color-driven music universe, following a series of pink-themed posts and snippet shared across social media.

The new uploaded video of Maki features a seeming studio version of the song, with him showing an art work revealing the title “Habangbuhay Pansamantala,” briefly flashing onscreen.

The artist also hinted at a new “pink era,” during the closing moments of Kolorcoaster: One More Ride concert last February, where a pink-themed teaser played at the end of the show. Since then, listeners have been closely tracking recurring pink visuals and references across Maki’s posts and appearances, treating them as clues connected to the upcoming release.

While full details about the track remain undisclosed, the rollout further builds on the interconnected world behind Kolorcoaster, which Maki previously framed as a project shaped by emotional symbolism and recurring themes rather than isolated singles.

The approach has helped define Maki’s identity in OPM, with colors functioning as emotional markers tied to different moods, relationships, and experiences throughout his music. Songs like “itim na ulap” and “Nangungulila” in particular became widely embraced among younger listeners online, strengthening the artist’s reputation for aesthetic and narrative consistency.

As speculation continues, fans have begun treating each color reveal less like a standard teaser and more like the next piece in an expanding story world.

For now, Maki has yet to formally confirm the song’s title or release date, though “Habangbuhay Pansamantala” appears to be the strongest clue yet to what arrives next in the Kolorcoaster palette.
