Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, Sharon Cuneta, Marian Rivera, and more lead a slate of Filipino series across genres.
The next phase of Filipino streaming is taking shape with a stacked, star-led slate.
At Amazon Prime’s recent lineup reveal, the platform confirmed seven Filipino original series set to roll out in 2026, bringing together major names across television, film, and digital. The mix spans romance, thriller, comedy, and political drama, signaling a broader range in how local stories are being produced and packaged for streaming.

It’s a lineup built on names audiences already know. From Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino to Sharon Cuneta and Marian Rivera, the next wave of Filipino series brings together a mix of established stars and current pairings across genres.
Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino take on Kopino, marking another project for the on-screen duo. Sharon Cuneta leads Honor Thy Mother with Barbie Forteza and Khalil Ramos, while Marian Rivera teams up with Dingdong Dantes for Behind Closed Doors.
Other titles expand the slate with different combinations. Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi headline Love Is Never Gone, while Janine Gutierrez, Jericho Rosales, and Sofia Andres lead The Loyalty Game.
The lineup also includes Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo on The Silent Noise, alongside Vice Ganda, who returns to host LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines.
Across the slate, casting drives the rollout, with pairings and ensembles shaping each project’s direction as they move toward release.
Alongside these originals, Prime Video is also expanding its licensed Filipino catalog, adding titles like Samahan ng mga Makasalanan, Open Endings, Bar Boys: After School, and the “Bayaniverse” trilogy (Heneral Luna, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, Quezon), placing legacy films and new releases within the same streaming ecosystem.
The direction is clear in execution: a slate that leans on recognizable names while widening genre coverage, giving Filipino productions more visibility within a global platform rollout.
