MEI MEI Makes Its P-Pop Debut with ‘Telebong (Hello Po)!’

The new eight-member girl group under Groovy Garden Records officially introduced themselves at SM North EDSA Skydome ahead of their debut single release on May 29.

The P-pop scene just welcomed a new set of girlies to the lineup as MEI MEI officially launched under Groovy Garden Records, a label under PULP, during a debut event held at the SM City North EDSA Skydome.

The eight-member group is composed of Alexa, Jhamayka, Ada, Aerise, Thea, Jessie, Yuni, and Dina, with Jessie serving as the group’s leader. During the launch, the members introduced themselves through live performances and showcases that highlighted the group’s youthful and energetic concept.

MEI MEI is also set to release their debut single, “Telebong (Hello Po)!”, on May 29. The track leans into bubbly pop production and playful energy, with a title that already feels tailor-made for online trends and fan edits.

With colorful visuals, upbeat choreography, and a distinctly Gen Z presentation, the group enters an increasingly competitive P-pop landscape where newer acts are continuously experimenting with fresh branding and internet-friendly concepts.

The debut also reflects the continued expansion of the local idol scene, with more entertainment companies investing in new-generation P-pop groups and larger-scale launches.

And while “Telebong (Hello Po)!” has yet to officially drop, MEI MEI’s first public appearance already gave fans a glimpse into the group’s bright, chaotic, and highly online energy.
