MISAMO Marks New Era With First Full Japanese Album ‘PLAY’

MISAMO steps into their biggest chapter yet with PLAY, a 12-track debut album that redefines the trio’s artistic direction.

MISAMO officially opens a new chapter with PLAY, their first full-length Japanese studio album released on February 4, 2026. The milestone project sees Mina, Sana, and Momo step into their biggest era yet, expanding their sound and artistic direction beyond mini-albums.

Framed around a refined, theatrical concept described as an “artistic triptych,” PLAY explores the idea of artists transcending their own work. The 12-track release is led by title song “Confetti” which arrived ahead of the album on January 16.

The album is available in multiple physical versions, including Limited Edition A and B, a Regular Edition, Fanclub-exclusive copies, and member-specific editions.

Fans can also stream PLAY on major platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music, making the release accessible worldwide.

To celebrate the album launch, Tokyo Tower was scheduled to light up in MISAMO’s official colors on February 7, while the trio premiered “Confetti” live during a special Prom Night event at Universal Studios Japan on February 6, turning the release into a city-wide moment for fans.

MISAMO debuted in 2023 as TWICE’s first official sub-unit and quickly gained traction with chart success and large-scale Japan shows. Their earlier releases topped Oricon’s Daily Album Chart and earned Platinum certification from the RIAJ, laying the groundwork for their first full album.

With PLAY, MISAMO steps confidently into a new phase, offering a refined statement of their artistry as the trio continues to build its identity on the Japanese and global pop stage.
