Booba is a comedy film that follows the story of the titular character who fulfills the dying wish of her mother. The film, directed by Joyce Bernal, is set to begin production next month for its sequel. 

Rufa Mae Quinto is set to reprise her iconic titular role in the film. 

Quinto revealed in an interview that the sequel is a reunion with Bernal, stating, “Sabi ko kay direk binibining Joyce. Parang reunion din namin ‘eh. Ito din ang comeback niya.”

Some scenes from the comedy will reportedly be taped in Amsterdam. The actress also revealed that she will also record a soundtrack for the upcoming release. 

The upcoming sequel will serve as Quinto’s major comeback on the big screen. The actress previously made an appearance at Paulo Avelino’s and Kim Chiu’s romantic comedy film My Love Will Make You Disappear.
