Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji Take the Spotlight in Wattpad Adaptation Seducing Drake Palma

In the landscape of Filipino pop culture, few forces rival the cultural pull and the fan power of Wattpad. What began as a digital playground for stories has since become a launchpad for the next generation of actors, romances, and cult followings, and its stories have shaped the daydreams of a generation, producing fictional leads that readers fall head over heels for and love teams they fiercely root for; every now and then, one of these beloved stories leaps from screen to soul—and the fans get to meet the faces behind the fantasy.
Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji are the newest faces to bring life to Ariesa Domingo’s Seducing Drake Palma, the hit Wattpad novel-turned-series. As Drake and Alys—brooding heartbreaker and headstrong heroine—they embody a pairing that fans have read, re-read, and reimagined countless times.
Earlier today, they met readers face to face at a special fan party in Mandaluyong, an exclusive event in which the fans met the real-life Drake and Alys for the first time, and the actors met the readers who made these characters unforgettable. The lead stars also gave fans a live preview of the onscreen chemistry that’s making this Wattpad adaptation the next big obsession.
Known for his breakout performance as Yuri Hanamitchi in Ang Mutya ng Section E, Angeles steps into the spotlight as the titular character in Seducing Drake Palma. Angela Muji plays his love interest, Alys, a character whose inner fire and emotional complexity have made her one of Wattpad’s most memorable female leads. Previously seen in Ang Mutya ng Section E as well and I’m in Love with a Jerk, Muji brings a grounded confidence and instinct for nuance to the role—one that fans will recognize, but also discover anew.
The fan party was a fitting celebration of the source material’s legacy and the show’s success. The series also features Ethan David, Rafa Victorino, Yumi Garcia, Frost Sandoval, and Sara Joe, along with JC Domingo, Sachzna Laparan, Jem Manicad, Samantha Capulong, and Joser Obesa. They’re joined by veteran actors Mark Anthony Fernandez, Christopher Roxas, Lander Vera Perez, Denise Esteban, and Nikka Ruiz.
With Crisanto Aquino (My Future You, Write About Love) at the helm and a cast that understands the weight and wonder of bringing a cult-favorite story to screen, the adaptation becomes a full-circle moment—for the fans, for the actors, and for the story that started it all online.
Seducing Drake Palma is now streaming on Viva One with episodes dropping every Friday. The series also premieres on July 21, 2025, airing for free on TV5’s Primetime Primera, Mondays to Fridays at 6:45 PM, with simultaneous streaming on the Kapatid Livestream on YouTube.
