It was an intense, fun-filled evening with Star Magic’s All-Star Games— showing what it means to show grit and sportsmanship all at once on the court. The star-studded line up of Star Magic’s very own Shooting Stars and GMMTV’s All-Stars went head to head, filling the arena with an unmatched energy that echoed the love from their supporters, especially for the fans of GMMTV. 

But beyond the tough and physically challenging game on the court, the games emphasized that beyond a competitive match, it is a celebration of sportsmanship and friendship across countries. Dubbed the playing teams as “SEAbling”, the basketball event is the agency’s first international exhibition game, setting the tone of excitement and anticipation throughout the rest of the night. 

With GMMTV’s starting 5 — Trai “Neo” Nimtawat, Ratiphat “Aston” Luengvoraphan, Gawin Caskey, Way-ar “Joss” Sangngern, and Natarit “Marc” Worakornlertsith—the team scored first when the match started. 

Cheers roared and support showered throughout the entirety of the arena as both teams grappled to win. There were moments where players clashed as they aimed to score, but everyone remained steadfast with their goal. The support of the fans has also added a different layer of excitement and thrill as each quarter was close to an end. 

While GMMTV’s defense was strong, Star Magic’s offense led them to win the first half of the game. One point after the other, the Shooting Stars’ is still on the lead, ending the first half with the scores of 53-31. The halftime show then followed, with stellar performances by BGYO, DNA, WRIVE, Baby Dolls, Kai Montinola, and Jarren Garcia. Star Magic’s Shooting Stars have won the game, ending the match with the final scores of 83-53. 

After the heated games, both teams were awarded, with the Shooting Stars as champions. Then, Neo, Ronnie, Argel, Aston, and Gerald were awarded as part of the Mythical 5, with Anderson also being declared as the game’s MVP. A friendly banter—through the post-game Q&A— have also charmed the fans, as they saw their favorite actors converse, interact, and share their appreciation towards the positive turnout of the event. The All-Star Games may have been here for years, but each year it is able to emerge itself as an event that goes beyond borders, connecting everyone who is in it for the love of the game.
