SB19, BINI to represent OPM as Summer Sonic releases schedules

A review of Supergirl exploring Kara Zor-El’s journey of identity, loss, and becoming, and how the film shapes her as a hero.

The P-pop icons are set to represent the Philippines at one of Asia’s biggest music festivals as Summer Sonic unveils its performance sets.

The two groups will perform across the festival’s Osaka and Tokyo legs this August, marking another milestone for Filipino music on the international stage.

Meanwhile, SB19 will make its Summer Sonic debut following the conclusion of its Simula at Wakas era, including the Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale. The group is scheduled to perform at the Massive Stage in Osaka on August 16 from 5:05 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. (PHT) before heading to Tokyo on August 17 for a 4:50 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (PHT) set.

Beyond their individual performances, the festival places both acts alongside international artists including BLACKPINK’s Jennie, BABYMETAL, FKA twigs, and LE SSERAFIM, highlighting P-pop’s continued presence on one of the region’s biggest festival lineups.

As both groups continue expanding their global reach through world tours and overseas appearances, their Summer Sonic performances mark another opportunity to introduce Filipino music to a wider international audience.
