SB19 joins lineup for KPOPWORLD Festival in Texas this October

The P-pop group continues its international appearance streak following performances at Lollapalooza and Japan’s Summer Sonic.

SB19 continues to bring Filipino talent to the international stage with another overseas festival appearance this year.

The KPOPWORLD Festival & Worldwide Dance Competition is coming to Texas for the first time, with SB19 joining the lineup alongside renowned K-pop artists at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The event kicks off with its Dance Championship on October 28 and 29, where 32 dance teams representing 29 countries will compete for a chance to perform on the festival’s main stage. Festivalgoers can also explore the International Vendor Village, featuring Korean products, exclusive merchandise and interactive fan zones throughout the four-day immersive event.

Artist performances will take place on October 30 and 31. Leading the lineup are Jay Park, THE ROSE, Jessi, Dean & Tabber, CRAVITY, Xdinary Heroes, ARTMS, Heyoon, Wonho, and Dayoung, with SB19 currently the only non-Korean act announced for the festival.

The appearance adds to SB19’s growing list of international engagements this year. Before heading to Texas, the group is set to appear at Global Spin Live at the GRAMMY Museum on July 28, where they will take part in a conversation about their career and deliver a special performance. On July 29, SB19 will also throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees game, becoming the first Filipino group to do so. The group will then make its highly anticipated debut at Lollapalooza on July 31.

The group will then head to Japan for Summer Sonic this August, further expanding its presence on global festivals. As SB19 continues to secure stages around the world, the group’s international appearances also spotlight P-pop on the global music stage.
