The roster of rising celebrities are breathing life into narratives that left a mark amongst its listeners through Papa Dudut’s storytelling.
There is a certain kind of nostalgia that lives somewhere between the static with Papa Dudut’s familiar voice, and the pictures your mind creates while listening—two people meeting somewhere you might have passed, a confession made on a late-night ride home, or a memory that sounds a little too familiar. Now, those stories have faces.

Barangay Love Stories, the long-running radio drama anthology hosted by Papa Dudut, is making its way to television, with Shuvee Etrata, Anthony Constantino, Ashley Sarmiento, Rave Victoria, Sofia Pablo, and Iñigo Jose bringing its first batch of stories to life. The TV adaptation premieres September 12 on GMA Network.
For years, Barangay Love Stories has built its world through stories sent in by listeners, turning experiences of love, life, and hope into weekly radio dramas.
The first teaser introduces three stories, each built around a different question about love: finding someone who has been beside you all along, encountering a love thought to be over, and falling for someone who may never be yours. Papa Dudut remains at the center of that transition as he returns as the program’s host and storyteller, carrying the voice that longtime listeners already associate with Barangay Love Stories.
“Barangay Love Stories” will premiere in September 12 on GMA Network
