The End of Oak Street teaser reveals Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor in a suburban street turned prehistoric survival thriller.
The first teaser for The End of Oak Street opens on what looks like a quiet suburban neighborhood before quickly shifting into something far less ordinary.

Directed by David Robert Mitchell and produced by J. J. Abrams, the film follows a family whose street is suddenly ripped from reality and transported into a prehistoric jungle filled with dinosaurs.

Anne Hathaway plays Denise Platt, while Ewan McGregor portrays Greg Platt. Together, they lead their family through an environment that no longer follows the rules of the world they know.

The cast also includes Maisy Stella as Audrey Platt, Christian Convery as Brian Platt, and supporting appearances from P.J. Byrne and Jordan Alexa Davis as neighbors pulled into the same unexplained event.

The project was originally developed under the working title Flowervale Street before being officially revealed as The End of Oak Street in March 2026. Filming took place from March to June 2024, with production based in Atlanta, Georgia, and additional work reportedly done in London.

The score is composed by Michael Giacchino, adding a cinematic layer to the film’s mix of mystery and survival tension.
The teaser itself shifts from subtle suburban unease to full prehistoric chaos, with dinosaurs emerging as the central threat. Early reactions online point to the tonal switch as the biggest talking point, with viewers comparing its premise to high-concept survival thrillers with nostalgic, Amblin-style energy.
The film is scheduled for theatrical and IMAX release on August 14, 2026.
