The FIFA World Cup excitement isn’t over just yet for the Philippines. While fans continue to celebrate football’s biggest stage, another historic journey is only beginning as the Philippine Women’s National Football Team, better known as the Filipinas, book their return to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

The Filipinas secured their second straight World Cup appearance after defeating Uzbekistan, 2–0, in the FIFA Women’s World Cup play-in following the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup. The victory marked another milestone for Philippine football and builds on the momentum of the team’s memorable World Cup debut in 2023.

With qualification secured, the focus now shifts to preparation. Head coach Mark Torcaso says the team will undergo training camps and international matches across four continents to ensure they’re ready for football’s biggest stage. The road to Brazil has officially begun, the Filipinas have earned their place on football’s biggest stage. Now, it’s up to every Filipino to make sure they never walk that journey alone.
