The Loved One starring Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales earns ₱160 million in two weeks as Irene Emma Villamor’s 2026 romantic drama tops Philippine and UAE box offices.
The 2026 Philippine romantic drama The Loved One, starring Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales, has officially surpassed ₱160 million in box office earnings just two weeks after its February 11 release.
Directed and written by Irene Emma Villamor, the film reunited Curtis and Rosales for the first time on the big screen since their 2008 hit Baler. It has dominated theaters in the Philippines and even topped in the UAE.

The movie, which follows former lovers Ellie (Curtis) and Eric (Rosales) as they revisit their decade-long relationship, has been praised for its raw, realistic take on love and relationships.
Its nonlinear storytelling jumps between the present—shown in black and white—and vivid flashbacks of their past, highlighting both emotional growth and lingering heartbreak.
Audiences have responded positively, noting the film’s “painfully relatable” moments and the nuanced chemistry between the leads. Fans continue to debate Team Eric vs. Team Ellie, showing just how much the story resonates.
The soundtrack, featuring a stripped-down version of Cup of Joe’s “Multo”, has also struck a chord with viewers, complementing the movie’s emotional depth.
From its first nine days, where it earned ₱110 million, to reaching ₱125 million by the tenth day, The Loved One has proven to be a major hit, solidifying its place as the first Filipino film of 2026 to cross the ₱100M mark—and now, ₱160M and counting.
