A high-society drama set in Hong Kong brings power, scandal, and revenge and is set to arrive in our screens this June.
Champagne flows, secrets simmer, and everyone has something to lose in ‘The Season’, the upcoming drama that’s ready to turn Hong Kong’s elite into must-watch chaos.
Announced at the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market, the series from PCCW Media is set to premiere globally in June 2026. It will stream across Viu in multiple regions, as well as on Hulu (including Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S.) and Now TV in Hong Kong.
Set during a high-society summer, the story follows the Hext family, an old-money dynasty that moves through yacht parties, horse races, and charity galas like they own the city. On the surface, everything is polished. Underneath, tensions are already building.
Enter Cola, played by Jessie Mei Li, a newcomer with a hidden agenda who disrupts the balance. Her arrival sparks shifting alliances and rising rivalries, slowly pushing the story toward a larger reckoning.
The ensemble cast includes Toby Stephens, Karena Lam, Chris Pang, Celina Jade, and Justin Chien, bringing together a mix of established and rising names across the region.
Created by Yalun Tu and directed by Marialy Rivas, the upcoming project revolves around the “champagne-fueled revenge drama” label, pairing glossy visuals with tension that builds quietly, then hits all at once.
If the setup is any indication, this is the kind of series where power is fragile, loyalty is conditional, and every party might come with consequences.
