From store-aisle photoshoots to viral and chaotic edits, fans are turning the city into a playground for the chance to see Seventeen’s Mingyu this April 11.
The Manila FYP has officially entered its “survival of the most creative” era. While the promise of an exclusive event with Seventeen’s Mingyu on April 11 is the goal, the journey to get there has turned into a chaotic, city-wide performance art project. With only 600 spots available, fans aren’t just entering a raffle; they are staging full-blown productions in the middle of convenience stores.
To enter the running, fans are required to track down participating stores and document themselves with official Mingyu standees on selected convenience stores. These captures, whether photos or videos, must then be uploaded to Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. To ensure the entry is counted, participants must tag the brand’s official social media accounts, use the campaign hashtag, and keep a screenshot of their post as a final receipt for validation.
This challenge has already saturated TikTok feeds, as fans share their best angles and location tips. For the local community, the limited capacity has heightened the stakes, turning every store visit into a potential ticket to a rare, close-up experience with one of K-pop’s most prominent figures.

This localized frenzy highlights the lengths to which the community will go for a rare, close-up encounter. Every store visit is now a potential content set, and every postcard is a prized prop. The chaos is fueled by the sheer scarcity of the prize, turning the “post and proof” validation process into a high-stakes ritual. It is a digital scavenger hunt where the reward isn’t just a ticket, but the glory of out-posting the rest of the timeline.
As the April 11 deadline nears, the pressure is on to get those entries live. In a sea of thousands of fans, only 600 will make the cut, making the “post and proof” process the most important task on any fan’s to-do list this month.
