The ocean calls again for the wildest and definitely more exciting adventure yet! Netflix just confirmed that the most awaited second season of One Piece will drop its anchor back into our screens in 2026 and this time, it’s going to head straight to The Grand Line.
Starring Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Taz Skylar, Emily Rudd, and Jacob Romero, Season 2 promises what fans have been anticipating and asking for: new villains, new arcs, and a whole new level of cinematic madness. Expect Reverse Mountain and Little Garden to make their live-action debut, along with a few emotional gut-punches (iykyk!)
Netflix’s One Piece live action became one of the streamer’s biggest international titles upon release. It reached #1 in over 75 countries, spent eight weeks in the Global Top 10, and made history as the first English-language Netflix series to debut at #1 in Japan, a milestone that revealed a link between anime fans and mainstream audiences.
The series currently has nearly 100 million views worldwide and earned 11 nominations at the Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Young Teen Series.
Season 2 will be co-showrun by Matt Owens and Joe Tracz, who also act as executive producers. The creative team includes One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, along with Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, plus Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda.
The series is produced in partnership with Shueisha, the Japanese publisher behind Oda’s original manga, which remains the best-selling series of all time with over 500 million copies sold globally.
Netflix has also confirmed that a third season is already in the works, signaling strong confidence in the franchise’s longevity. Beyond the screen, the live-action adaptation of the 1997 manga series continues to expand through global partnerships—from official merchandise and collectibles to immersive fan experiences at Netflix House in Philadelphia.
As Into The Grand Line heads for the 2026 release, the fans’ expectations and excitement builds up. With its proven track record and devoted fans, One Piece remains one of Netflix’s most valuable and ambitious original productions, and the expedition is far from over.
